All underwear articles out of cotton knitted fabrics are subject to this process, especially the finer they are. This is no signifant problem as long as linen is traditionally dried in the air. This first crops up through the "over-drying” in tumblers. The Relax and Santex dryers used by Schiesser as well as at the tenters, the goods are equipped with the desired shrinking properties and contain a soft, pleasant grip. Single-Jersey, Interlock but even other qualities gain a further shrink-less finishing with the Toptex finishing (cmp. sanforizing) and, furthermore, a fine sheen and even softer grip properties.
